Special Instructions
Blood Bank staff will order ABO Confirm if patient does not have prior history. Confirm specimen must be collected at a different time than banded specimen. BB Patient ID Policy
For pediatric transfusions: request specific volume of product at order entry.
Products needing special testing/preparation (irradiated, washed, leukoreduced, HgbS-, etc.) will require longer lead time. Please contact Blood Bank staff.
